Samsung Jet S8000

Look and Feel
Jet (Jet, or better, as the official name) is an elegant phone. Very small, very thin, even thinner than the iPhone 3G, although I doubt that anyone will buy at 0.4 mm. It has standard end piano, very well for many Samsung cell phones and a screen made of glass, which is scratch resistant. Touch is really good, but because of the directions you fingerprints on the surface. Anyone who buys into a tissue.

The phone is also easy, taking into account the size, not a big surprise. I would not say that too much light, use in a storm, he will not fly.

The screen itself
Once you click on the Jet, you see, what you probably love the most: The display is great. The 3.1-inch AMOLED Display by Samsung is now exclusively using their mobile telephones is very clear, the colors may sound amazing, and the viewing angle is amazing. Which is better: Even if the resolution is high enough, it seems not only shit than 480 × 800 Windows screen.

What is the use of the screen? Of course it is a phone with a touchscreen, of course he can with your fingers. What can you do in 2009 to sell? The display rotates to the left or right, so the way you are not restricted to a single direction. Neat.

Main Menu / Usage
Before you on something on the screen, a word in advance to the operating system. Yes, it's owners. That probably means some applications to extend what you get. But it supports Flash. Any kind of flash, not a question of whether movies, games, or youtube. It is better that the "light" versions of the Adobe Flash licenses usually the manufacturer of the phone.

The start screen type has two bars, one left, one on the ground. Navigation bottom looks quite familiar, as on the F480. This is much more interesting is the navigation on the left. It's like a status bar to access the time, time zone, the synchronization and timing.

Insprired of Android, it is logical to assume that I do, if the functions of the desktop. Not because it is full (which it really is) and not due to the fact that you have three screens, you can use with their fingers. You can probably include a little more, but unfortunately I could not give a try.

Samsung is working with the widgets, which preproduced, but the question is whether they really find supporters for the programming of a proprietary operating system. I suppose that it is not.

Of course, most of what you really see, is reminiscent of a "standard" by Samsung. No real surprise, unless you understand a) the use of the 3D menu, or b) the replacement of multi-touch. One after the other:

a.) The 3D. I have a button on the right side of the S8000, but it is without doubt another option by selecting the menu somewhere. The 3D menu is an interface for fast access to phone, music, movies, etc.. If his answer to the LG Arena? If you ask me it is. This is just another "me-too" product, and what is worse: It is not as fast as the rest of the phone. It would be quite logical that all six functions on a single (unfortunately 2D) website.

b.) a lot better is the answer to Samsung's multi-touch. Because they can not, they have had a remedy. The solution is: Put your finger on the screen, leave it there. Moving on up to develop the image, the other causes for the reverse function. (Do I need to mix up?) It is a very intuitive thing on a screen this size. Good idea, well done.

c) Everything else. Well, it's a phone with a touchscreen and works like most of them: You see something when your finger at him, and he's doing something. I believe there are enough comments and it is not so different. But what is common for the user, the keyboard. Indeed, there are two: a small keypad of the phone-ish the leadership of the jet in a vertical position

5. Speed
If someone asks me, say a single word on the S8000 is clear: the speed. Honestly, I would like a package of mobile phones, but it is much faster than anything I've used before. The micro-second you press a button, your function. By turning the phone 90 degrees, the operating system is really fast. It's so unbelievable to me that you are biased in May. Well, call me at any rate exaggerated. It is a blog, it is on view.

Of course, speed does not come from nowhere: The Koreans have a processor with 800 MHz, suck the May 1500 mAh battery as hell.

Battery
Unfortunately, this is not a topic that I really, or do I have to speak. Normally, the last thing in the phone optimizied development is the battery. And I could with the S8000 for about 15 minutes, it would be ridiculous, even a proposal.
